Laser eye surgery that corrects vision by re-shaping the cornea (clear front part of the eye).
After care
Do not rub your eyes! Your doctor may instruct you to wear protective eye shields for the first night or two. You may also be required to take antibiotics, or anti-inflammatory, moistening eye drops.
To prevent infection, your doctor may advise against using eye makeup/ creams for up to two weeks. You should also refrain from contact sports for at least one month and should stay away from swimming and hot tubs for 1 to 2 months. Sensitivity to bright lights are a common side effect, so do wear sunglasses for protection.
Recovery can take up to six months as vision takes some time to stabilize post-surgery.
